The Crow Girl

Paramount+ has given the green light to The Crow Girl from Buccaneer Media. Starring Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly and Dougray Scott, The Crow Girl is adapted from the Erik Axl Sund novel and begins with the gruesome discovery of a teenage boy’s body discarded in plain sight.

Fishwell F/X are the sole VFX Vendor for the show with George Zwier as production VFX Supervisor.

Based on the book ‘Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews’ written by Sam McAlister, this is the story of BBC Newsnight’s bombshell 2019 interview with Prince Andrew about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Starring Gillian Anderson, Keeley Hawes, Billie Piper, Romola Garai and Rufus Sewell as Prince Andrew.

Fishwell F/X’s VFX Supervisor George Zwier provided full on-set supervision from preproduction through the main shoot.

LOCKED IN

George Zwier served as production VFX Supervisor from pre-production through to final delivery for the Netflix feature film Locked In. This is the second collaboration with director Nour Wazzi after the Netflix series The Last Bus.

Over three hundred shots were delivered by multiple international vendors including transforming a large sequence filmed at Pinewood Studio’s Underwater stage into a scene set on a bright Spring day.

Netflix reached out to Red Ring Entertainment and Fishwell F/X VFX Supervisor George Zwier to deliver over 120 shots on multiple large f/x sequences for The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself aka Half Bad.

The shots and sequences spanned across the last three episodes including a large scale sequence involving peeling walls in a smoke filled room and a transforming demon.

The Last Bus utilised all aspects of virtual production from virtual scouting, scene blocking and previs to LED volume shooting all overseen by VFX Supervisor George Zwier. The extensive driving scenes were all filmed in the “car wash” volume supervised and set up by Treehouse Digital and iMag. An exciting chase sequence was also shot Terminator 2 style using the LED walls as a backdrop and interactive lighting source for the puppeteer controlled evil orbs.

Over 1000 shots were overseen by George Zwier delivered by multiple international vendors including a large scale creature sequence at Cinesite Montreal.

Fishwell F/X worked with visual effect supervisor Taylor Tulip-Close on delivering a key sequence to a tight schedule.

Fishwell F/X partnered up with Wildseed Studios for a second time for the Sky Kids show Ama’s Story.
